Company profile

As of 1 January 2001 Lufthansa Technik Intercoat GmbH (LTI) was founded as a joint venture between Lufthansa Technik AG holding 51% and the Interturbine Group of Companies holding 49% of capital. Considering the historical development of this as yet young joint venture, Lufthansa Technik Intercoat GmbH can look back on 30 years of experience with the Epoxy Repair Process. Also known in the past as Epoly and Epolair, the process has constantly been improved and the advanced epoxy filler material has been registered under the trade name of Interfill®.

Lufthansa Technik Intercoat GmbH offers the specialised Epoxy Repair Process Interfill® for the repair of engine and aircraft components as well as marine and industrial machinery. This renowned Advanced Epoxy Coating Process is designed to salvage worn, corroded or eroded engine and aircraft accessories. Through continued improvement, extensive testing and meeting customer needs, three variants of the Interfill® material have been developed. The three materials are named Interfill®-1, Interfill®-2 and Interfill®-3. The compounds are differentiated in regards to scratch resistance, final achieved surface roughness and wear resistance.

Whilst business of Lufthansa Technik Intercoat GmbH continues independently with its high quality service, we profit from the co-operation with Lufthansa Technik AG in terms of engineering knowledge and development of new repair schemes. Through the Interfill® process, Lufthansa Technik AG has achieved multi-million € savings in component salvage.
